We reach Zarauz driving along the N-634 from San Sebastián.
Zarauz has a beautiful promenade along the sea and the longest beach in Gipuzkoa (2.500 m). Is one of the most popular surfing beaches in Gipuzkoa. It also has a nine-hole golf course and two campsites.
Outstanding architectural features of the town include: the parish church of Santa María La Real with a fortress tower separate to the church, the Franciscans and Clarisas convents of the 17th century, Narros Palace and Luzea Tower are some of the town’s most emblematic buildings. In the outskirts of the town, above the road to Getaria, we can find the chapel of Santa Barbara, a watchtower perched on the cliffs overlooking the town.
